Big Driver (2014)
Tess Thorne ist eine berühmte Krimi-Autorin und auf dem Rückweg von einer Lesung. Um schneller nach Hause zu kommen, nimmt sie eine Abkürzung, die ihr von der Veranstalterin Ramona Norvell geraten wurde. Plötzlich hat sie jedoch eine Reifenpanne und bleibt mitten auf der verlassenen Landstraße stehen. Als ein freundlicher Fremder sein Auto anhält und seine Hilfe anbietet, ist Tess zunächst erleichtert. Doch der körperlich überlegene Mann vergewaltigt sie brutal und lässt sie halbtot liegen.
