Pat und Mike (1952)
Pat ist eine hervorragende Sportlerin – außer wenn ihr dominanter Verlobter dabei ist. Die Meisterschaft im Damengolf ist schon zum Greifen nah, als sie durch seine Anwesenheit bei den letzten Löchern nervös wird. Er will sie heiraten und einen Schlussstrich ziehen, aber sie kann ihr bisheriges Leben nicht so einfach aufgeben. Deshalb bittet sie den etwas zwielichtigen Sport-Promoter Mike um Hilfe. Gemeinsam nehmen sie es mit Gangstern und einem eifersüchtigen Boxer auf – aber wie sollen sie damit umgehen, dass sie sich zunehmend sympathischer werden?
