Im Jahre 1944 kommt der niederländische Widerstandskämpfer Vincent Van der Lyn nach Lissabon und findet Anschluss an eine Gruppe von Gesinnungsgefährten, die dort gegen die Nazis tätig sind. Er verliebt sich in die attraktive Irene von Mohr, weiß jedoch nicht, ob er ihr trauen darf. Als einer der Männer ermordet wird, gerät Van der Lyn in falschen Verdacht...
