Der fremde Sohn (2008)
Los Angeles im Jahre 1928: An einem Samstagmorgen in einem Arbeiterviertel verabschiedet sich Christine von ihrem Sohn Walter. Als sie wiederkommt ist ihr Sohn verschwunden. Eine großangelegte Suche folgt, doch sie bleibt ergebnislos. Monate später taucht ein Junge auf, welcher behauptet Christines Sohn Walter zu sein. Christine nimmt ihn bei sich auf, obwohl sie spürt, dass dieser Junge nicht ihr Sohn ist. Als sie bei den Behörden nachfragt, um die Suche nach ihrem Sohn fortzusetzen, stößt sie auf taube Ohren. Sie erfährt, dass Frauen im Amerika der 20er Jahre nicht viel zu sagen haben. Christine findet einen Verbündeten, Reverend Briegleb, welcher ihr hilft für ihr Anliegen zu kämpfen, um die Suche nach ihrem Sohn fortzusetzen...
