Paterno (2018)
Gerade als er zum erfolgreichsten College-Football-Coach aller Zeiten aufgestiegen ist, kommt für US-Trainerlegende Joe Paterno (Al Pacino) der tiefe Fall: Sein Defensivtrainer Jerry Sandusky wird wegen Kindesmissbrauchs angeklagt, weil er sich an acht Jungen sexuell vergangen haben soll. Für Sandusky beginnt eine schmerzhafte Selbstprüfung - und ein Kampf um sein Lebenswerk. Joe Paterno, der 2012 starb, war im American Football eine nationale Legende. Meisterregisseur Barry Levinson ("Rain Man") erzählt Paternos Demontage als eine moralische Tragödie: Denn obwohl dem mächtigen Star-Coach juristisch nichts vorzuwerfen ist, muss er sich doch einer Verantwortung stellen, die über die reine Pflichterfüllung hinausgeht.
