Ein Modedesigner, der Pariser Entwürfe stiehlt und in New York als seine eigenen verkauft, trifft auf eine Jugendfreundin, die sich als russische Herzogin ausgibt, um sich einen Pariser Modezaren zu angeln. Er erpresst sie, um sie für seine Show zu gewinnen, setzt damit aber die Beziehung zu seiner Komplizin aufs Spiel.
