Danielle ist nicht nur schön, sondern auch klug und mutig. Furchtlos lehnt sie sich gegen ihre böse Stiefmutter auf. Diese versucht die Liebe zwischen Danielle und dem Prinzen zu verhindern, um den Adeligen mit einer ihrer Töchter zu vermählen. Alles scheint verloren.
