To the Moon (2024)
Cole Davis arbeitet bei der US-amerikanischen Raumfahrtbehörde NASA und verfolgt ein klares Ziel: den ersten Menschen auf den Mond bringen – und zwar so schnell wie nur irgend möglich, da die Sowjetunion ebenfalls fieberhaft daran arbeitet, den ersten Fuß auf den Erdtrabanten zu setzen. Doch die Apollo-Mission wird von Pleiten, Pech und Pannen verfolgt, und die Raumfahrtbehörde sinkt im Ansehen der Bevölkerung. Das soll Marketing-Expertin Kelly Jones ändern. Kurzerhand wird sie Cole Davis vor die Nase gesetzt, um dessen Arbeit und die seines Teams medienwirksam zu präsentieren – zur Not auch mit Tricksereien. Der Gipfel ist für Cole Davis jedoch erreicht, als sogar die gesamte Mondlandung einfach inszeniert werden soll, womit seine ganze harte Arbeit zunichte gemacht würde. Dabei ist ihm die selbstbewusste Kelly Jones eigentlich längst ans Herz gewachsen …
