Marvins Töchter (1996)
Nach einer ärztlichen Routineuntersuchung erfährt Bessie, daß sie an Leukämie erkrankt ist. Nur eine Knochenmarkstransplantation von engen Verwandten kann sie noch retten. Bessie bittet ihre Schwester Lee, die sie seit gemeinsamen Teenagertagen nicht mehr gesehen hat, ihr zu helfen. Lee willigt ein und reist mit ihren Söhnen Hank und Charlie nach Florida zum Haus des gelähmten Vaters Marvin, den Bessie seit mehr als 20 Jahren aufopferungsvoll pflegt. Dort kommt es dann zu heftigen Auseinandersetzungen zwischen den beiden Schwestern...
