Jay Scott Greenspan, besser bekannt unter seinem Künstlernamen Jason Alexander, ist ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler, Autor, Komiker, Fernsehregisseur und -produzent sowie Sänger. Er ist vor allem für seine Rolle als George Costanza in der Fernsehserie „Seinfeld“ bekannt, in der er von 1989 bis 1998 mitwirkte. Auch auf der Bühne feierte er große Erfolge und spielte in mehreren Broadway-Musicals, darunter „Jerome Robbins’ Broadway“ im Jahr 1989, für das er den Tony Award als Bester Hauptdarsteller in einem Musical gewann. Er wirkte in der Los-Angeles-Produktion von „The Producers“ an der Seite von Martin Short mit. Er ist künstlerischer Leiter von „Reprise! Broadway’s Best in Los Angeles“, wo er bereits mehrere Musicals inszeniert hat. Alexander ist außerdem ein begeisterter Pokerspieler.
