John Uhler Lemmon III war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler. Lemmon wurde als Komödiant in Billy Wilders Filmen Manche mögen’s heiß und Das Appartement bekannt und bildete mit Walter Matthau jahrzehntelang eines der beliebtesten Komikerduos. Er wurde aber auch zweimal als Charakterdarsteller mit dem Oscar ausgezeichnet. Lemmon zählt heute zu den renommiertesten und meistausgezeichneten Filmschauspielern überhaupt.
