Die Grasharfe (1996)
Seit dem Tod seiner Eltern lebt der 16jährige Collin Fenwick im Hause zweier unverheirateter Tanten in einem kleinen Städtchen in Alabama. Während ihm die eine, Verena Talbo eine geldgierige Geschäftsfrau, der die meisten Läden des Ortes gehören - gänzlich fern bleibt, faßt er rasche Zuneigung zu ihrer weltfremden, aber warmherzigen Schwester Dolly. Der bescheidene Verkaufserfolg ihrer aus Kräutern gebrauten Arznei bringt einen jahrelang schwelenden Zwist zwischen den Schwestern letztendlich zum Ausbruch. Als Dolly sich weigert, die Herstellung der Medizin in einer Fabrik zuzulassen, kommt es zu einem demütigenden Streit. In derselben Nacht zieht Dolly mit Collin in ein altes Baumhaus außerhalb der Stadt, wo sie nicht lange allein bleiben...
