Josh Gad ist ein amerikanischer Schauspieler, Komiker und Sänger, der am 23. Februar 1981 in Hollywood, Florida, geboren wurde. Er ist bekannt für seine vielseitigen Rollen in Theater, Film und Fernsehen. Gad studierte an der Carnegie Mellon University und begann seine Karriere im Theater, wo er 2005 in der Broadway-Produktion The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee debütierte. Seinen Durchbruch erlangte er 2011 als Elder Arnold Cunningham in dem Broadway-Musical The Book of Mormon, für das er eine Tony-Nominierung erhielt und einen Grammy Award gewann. Gad ist auch für seine Rolle als Olaf in der Disney-Filmreihe Frozen bekannt, wofür er zwei Annie Awards erhielt. In Film und Fernsehen hat Gad in Projekten wie Beauty and the Beast (als LeFou), Murder on the Orient Express, Marshall, Avenue 5 und der animierten Serie Central Park mitgewirkt. Während der COVID-19-Pandemie startete er die YouTube-Serie Reunited Apart, um Spenden für wohltätige Zwecke zu sammeln.
