Ralph Nathaniel Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes (geb. 22. Dezember 1962) ist ein englischer Schauspieler, Regisseur und Produzent. Als bekannter Shakespeare-Interpret feierte er seinen ersten Erfolg auf der Bühne des Royal National Theatre. Fiennes' Darstellung des Nazi-Kriegsverbrechers Amon Göth in Schindlers Liste (1993) brachte ihm Nominierungen für den Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor und den Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor ein, und er gewann den BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Seine Leistung als Graf Almásy in The English Patient (1996) brachte ihm eine zweite Oscar-Nominierung für den besten Darsteller sowie BAFTA- und Golden Globe-Nominierungen ein. Seitdem war Fiennes in einer Reihe von bemerkenswerten Filmen zu sehen, darunter Quiz Show (1994), Strange Days (1995), The End of the Affair (1999), Red Dragon (2002), The Constant Gardener (2005), In Brugge (2008), The Reader (2008), Clash of the Titans (2010), Great Expectations (2012) und The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014). Er äußerte Ramses in The Prince of Egypt (1998). Fiennes ist auch bekannt für seine Rollen in großen Filmfranchisen wie der Harry-Potter-Filmreihe (2005-2011), in der er Lord Voldemort spielte, und der James-Bond-Serie, in der er Gareth Mallory / M spielte, beginnend mit dem 2012er Film Skyfall.
