Buck Henry (geboren als Henry Zuckerman; 9. Dezember 1930 – 8. Januar 2020) war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler, Drehbuchautor und Regisseur. Zu seinen filmischen Beiträgen zählen seine Co-Regie bei „Der Himmel soll warten“ (1978) an der Seite von Warren Beatty sowie seine Mitarbeit am Drehbuch zu Mike Nichols’ „Die Reifeprüfung“ (1967) und Peter Bogdanovichs „Is’ was, Doc?“ (1972). Seine lange Karriere begann im Fernsehen mit Auftritten in der „New Steve Allen Show“ (1961) mit Steve Allen. Anschließend entwickelte er gemeinsam mit Mel Brooks die Serie „Get Smart“ (1965–1970) und moderierte von 1976 bis 1980 zehnmal „Saturday Night Live“. Später hatte er Gastauftritte in beliebten Serien wie „Murphy Brown“, „Hot in Cleveland“, „Will & Grace“ und „30 Rock“. Er wurde zweimal für einen Oscar nominiert, für das beste adaptierte Drehbuch für „Die Reifeprüfung“ (1967) und für die beste Regie für „Der Himmel soll warten“ (1978) zusammen mit Warren Beatty.
