Linda Rollins revient à Las Vegas où a débuté autrefois sa carrière de chanteuse. Son mari, Lloyd, qui l'accompagne, est un important homme d'affaires, attiré par le jeu. Linda retrouve avec émotion Dave Andrews, son ancien amoureux, devenu lieutenant de police. Entre eux tout semble pouvoir recommencer. Mais Lloyd se retrouve mêlé à l'assassinat d'un patron de casino. Dave, chargé de l'enquête, le met au premier rang de ses suspects.
