Firelight (1998)
Siamo nel 1837. A Londra un'istitutrice svizzera accetta, per salvare il padre oberato dai debiti, di dare un figlio a un nobile inglese mai conosciuto e con l'impegno di non rivedere mai più né il padre né il figlio. Otto anni dopo, la ragazza prende servizio in una villa inglese, dove naturalmente vivono l'uomo (di cui lei si era comunque innamorata) e la bambina frutto della relazione. Seguono schermaglie, ricatti, prove d'amore, equivoci, delusioni e speranze.
