Bruce Campbell (nato il 22 giugno 1958 a Royal Oak, Michigan, Stati Uniti) è un attore, regista, produttore e scrittore statunitense, conosciuto soprattutto per aver interpretato Ash Williams nella serie horror La casa (The Evil Dead), diventando una delle icone più amate del cinema horror indipendente. Iniziò la sua carriera realizzando cortometraggi con il suo amico Sam Raimi, con il quale collaborò alla creazione di Within the Woods (1978), progetto che portò alla nascita de La casa (1981). Il film, girato con un budget limitato, divenne un cult internazionale e trasformò Campbell in un volto simbolo del genere horror. Riprese il ruolo di Ash Williams nei sequel La casa 2 (1987) e L'armata delle tenebre (1992), opere che ampliarono il successo della saga grazie al loro mix di horror, commedia e fantasia. Tornò nuovamente al personaggio nella serie televisiva Ash vs Evil Dead (2015-2018), che riportò sullo schermo il suo personaggio più celebre. Oltre alla saga di Evil Dead, Campbell ha recitato in numerosi film e serie televisive, tra cui Darkman (1990), Bubba Ho-Tep (2002), Burn Notice (2007-2013) e Spider-Man (2002), dove interpretò diversi personaggi secondari nella trilogia diretta da Sam Raimi. Ha inoltre lavorato come regista, produttore e autore, pubblicando anche libri autobiografici sulla sua carriera. Grazie alla sua presenza scenica, al suo umorismo e al ruolo di Ash Williams, Bruce Campbell è considerato una delle figure più rappresentative del cinema horror e un simbolo della cultura dei film cult.
