Brendan James Fraser (nato il 3 dicembre 1968) è un attore americano-canadese. Fraser ha avuto la sua svolta nel 1992 con la commedia Encino Man e il dramma School Ties. Ha guadagnato ulteriore importanza per i suoi ruoli da protagonista nelle commedie With Honors (1994) e George of the Jungle (1997) ed è emerso come star interpretando Rick O'Connell nella trilogia de La mummia (1999-2008). Ha interpretato ruoli drammatici in Gods and Monsters (1998), The Quiet American (2002) e Crash (2004), e ulteriori ruoli fantasy in Bedazzled (2000) e Viaggio al centro della Terra (2008). Il lavoro cinematografico di Fraser ha subito un rallentamento dalla fine degli anni 2000 alla metà degli anni 2010 a causa delle scarse prestazioni al botteghino e di vari problemi di salute e personali, tra cui le conseguenze di un'aggressione sessuale commessa contro di lui nel 2003 da Philip Berk, l'allora presidente della Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Fraser si è ramificato in televisione con ruoli nel dramma di Showtime The Affair (2016-2017), nella serie FX Trust (2018) e nella serie Max Doom Patrol (2019-2023). La sua carriera cinematografica è stata rivitalizzata dai ruoli in No Sudden Move (2021) di Steven Soderbergh e The Whale (2022) di Darren Aronofsky.
