George Henry Sanders (3 luglio 1906 – 25 aprile 1972) è stato un attore britannico di cinema e televisione, cantautore, compositore musicale e autore. La sua carriera di attore si è estesa per oltre quarant'anni. Il suo forte accento inglese da alta società e la voce bassa e morbida spesso lo portarono a essere scelto per personaggi sofisticati ma malvagi. È forse più conosciuto come Jack Favell in Rebecca (1940), Scott Ffolliott in Foreign Correspondent (1940, un ruolo eroico raro), The Saran of Gaza in Samson and Delilah (1949), il film più popolare dell'anno, Addison DeWitt in All About Eve (1950, per il quale vinse un Oscar), Sir Brian De Bois-Guilbert in Ivanhoe (1952), Re Riccardo Cuor di Leone in Re Riccardo e i Crociati (1954), Mr. Freeze in un episodio in due parti di Batman (1966), la voce della malvagia tigre odiatrice dagli uomini Shere Khan ne Il libro della giungla della Disney (1967), il raffinato combattente del crimine The Falcon negli anni '40 (un ruolo poi lasciato in eredità al fratello maggiore, Tom Conway), e Simon Templar, Il Santo, in cinque film realizzati negli anni '30 e '40.
