Ambra (1947)
Ambra è figlia illegittima di un nobile inglese del Seicento e viene cresciuta da poveri contadini. La sua ambizione la porta a legarsi a un avventuriero di nobili origini: è la prima tappa del suo itinerario che la vedrà poi al fianco di briganti, capitani di ventura e grandi del regno fino ad arrivare alla stessa corte dove viene notata dal re. A Londra però, intanto, scoppia la peste.
