David Oyelowo (nato il 1º aprile 1976) è un attore, regista e produttore britannico di origine nigeriana, apprezzato per la sua versatilità e per le sue interpretazioni intense nel cinema, in televisione e a teatro. Dopo gli studi alla London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, ha iniziato la sua carriera con la Royal Shakespeare Company, distinguendosi rapidamente come uno degli interpreti britannici più promettenti. Ha raggiunto la notorietà internazionale interpretando Martin Luther King Jr. nel film Selma - La strada per la libertà, ruolo che gli è valso il plauso della critica e numerosi riconoscimenti. Nel corso della sua carriera ha recitato in film come The Butler - Un maggiordomo alla Casa Bianca, Interstellar, Queen of Katwe, A United Kingdom - L'amore che ha cambiato la storia, Peter Rabbit, Chaos Walking, The Midnight Sky e The Book of Clarence. In televisione ha preso parte a produzioni di successo come Silo, Lawmen: Bass Reeves e Les Misérables.
