William H. Macy (nato il 13 marzo 1950) è un attore e scrittore americano. È stato nominato all'Oscar per il ruolo di Jerry Lundegaard in Fargo. È anche insegnante e regista di teatro, cinema e televisione. La sua carriera cinematografica si è costruita principalmente sulle sue apparizioni in piccoli film indipendenti, anche se è apparso anche in film d'azione estivi. Macy ha descritto la sua persona sullo schermo come "una sorta di tipo americano medio, WASPy, luterano... Uomo qualunque". Ha vinto due Emmy Awards e un Screen Actors Guild Award, venendo nominato in totale per nove Emmy Awards e sette Screen Actors Guild Awards. È anche candidato tre volte ai Golden Globe.
