Frances Louise McDormand (nata Cynthia Ann Smith; 23 giugno 1957) è un'attrice americana di cinema, teatro e televisione. McDormand ha iniziato la sua carriera teatrale e ha debuttato sullo schermo nel film del 1984 Blood Simple, dopo aver recitato diversi ruoli teatrali e televisivi.
