Sam Raimi (nato il 23 ottobre 1959) è un regista, sceneggiatore e produttore cinematografico statunitense, conosciuto per il suo stile originale che unisce horror, umorismo e grande energia visiva. Ha iniziato la sua carriera con il film La casa (1981), diventato un cult del cinema horror e il primo capitolo della celebre trilogia Evil Dead, che lo ha consacrato come uno dei registi più innovativi del genere. Il successo internazionale è arrivato con la trilogia di Spider-Man (2002-2007) con Tobey Maguire, considerata una delle opere che hanno contribuito alla nascita dell'era moderna dei film sui supereroi.
