Teri Ann Garr (nata l'11 dicembre 1944 a Lakewood, Ohio, e morta il 29 ottobre 2024 a Los Angeles) è stata un'attrice, ballerina e cantante statunitense. Figlia dell'attore e comico Eddie Garr, inizia la carriera ancora adolescente come ballerina, partecipando a diversi film musicali e programmi televisivi. Dopo alcune apparizioni minori, si afferma nel cinema negli anni Settanta grazie a film come Incontri ravvicinati del terzo tipo (1977), nel quale interpreta Ronnie Neary, e soprattutto Frankenstein Junior (1974) di Mel Brooks, dove veste i panni di Inga, diventando uno dei volti più riconoscibili della celebre commedia. Nel 1982 raggiunge uno dei momenti più importanti della sua carriera con Tootsie, nel quale interpreta Sandy Lester accanto a Dustin Hoffman. La sua interpretazione le vale una candidatura all'Oscar come miglior attrice non protagonista. Continua a lavorare tra cinema e televisione, recitando in film come Un sogno lungo un giorno (1982), Mr. Mom (1983), After Hours (1985), Miracolo sull'8ª strada (1987), Let It Ride (1989) e Prêt-à-Porter (1994). In televisione appare inoltre in serie come Friends, Frasier, Law & Order - I due volti della giustizia e ER - Medici in prima linea. Negli anni successivi riduce progressivamente la sua attività a causa di problemi di salute, ma continua a comparire occasionalmente sullo schermo. Nel corso della sua carriera Teri Garr si è distinta soprattutto per la versatilità e per la capacità di alternare commedia e ruoli drammatici, lasciando un segno particolare nel cinema americano degli anni Settanta e Ottanta.
