Der Doc ist wieder da – und er ist beliebter denn je! Besonders natürlich bei den Tieren, deren Sprache er ja spricht. Deshalb wenden sie sich auch an ihn, als das riesige Waldgebiet, in dem sie leben, von den Baggern einer gierigen Holzfirma bedroht wird. Dr. Dolittle soll’s richten, mit Hilfe des Zirkusbären Archie, der als seltener Pacific Western Bear dort ausgewildert werden soll. Das Problem ist nur: Archie versteht sich als sensibler Künstler, der absolut keineLust auf Natur hat und auch ein recht unbeholfenes Paarungsverhalten an den Tag legt. Also muss der Doc ihm die wichtigsten Dinge des Lebens in freier Wildbahn erst mal beibringen.
