Ministerium der Angst (1944)
Im England des Zweiten Weltkriegs regiert die Angst. Nachts fliegen deutsche Bomber Angriffe auf London, und jeder verdächtigt jeden der Spionage. Nicht mal den "Müttern der freien Nationen" kann man trauen unter dem rührenden Namen treiben Nazi-Agenten ihr Unwesen. Stephen Neale macht die Bekanntschaft mit den Verschwörern, als er auf einer Wohltätigkeitsveranstaltung einen Kuchen gewinnt: In dem Gebäck sind Geheimpläne versteckt. Fortan hat Neale die Nazi-Schergen auf den Fersen...
