Atemlos nach Florida (1942)
Tom ein kreativer Kopf in Geldnöten, sucht händeringend nach Finanzquellen, um seine Ideen zu vermarkten. Die Hilfsangebote seiner tatkräftigen Frau Gerry nimmt er nicht an. Gerry, die ihn liebt und ihm das nötige Geld beschaffen will, denkt sich eine List aus: Unter dem Vorwand, das Eheleben mit ihm sei langweilig geworden, fährt sie ins Scheidungsparadies Florida, um sich von ihm zu trennen und einen superreichen Mann zu heiraten. Das passt Tom gar nicht, und er reist ihr nach. Es beginnt eine wilde Verfolgungsjagd von New York nach Palm Beach, bei der es zu vielen sehr merkwürdigen Begegnungen kommt.
