Wag the Dog - Wenn der Schwanz mit dem Hund wedelt (1997)
Kurz vor der Präsidentenwahl belästigt der US Präsident eine Schülerin. Das ist tödlich für den Wahlkampf. Conrad Brean, der „Mr. Alleskleber”, hat die rettende Idee: Einen Krieg als Ablenkung. So engagiert man den Hollywoodproduzenten Motss, um einen Krieg in Albanien zu inszenieren. Natürlich findet dieser Krieg nicht in der Wirklichkeit ab. Schnell ist der Fehltritt des Präsidenten aus den Nachrichten verschwunden und der Krieg dominiert die Medien. Als man kurz vor der Wahl einen angeblichen amerikanischen Kriegsgefangenen aus dem Krisengebiet retten will, stößt man unvorbereitet auf Probleme...
