Stuart Holmes (geboren als Joseph Liebchen; 10. März 1884 – 29. Dezember 1971) war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler und Bildhauer, dessen Karriere sich über sieben Jahrzehnte erstreckte. Zwischen 1909 und 1964 wirkte er in fast 450 Filmen mit, wobei er mitunter unter dem Namen Stewart Holmes geführt wurde. Holmes' Filmkarriere begann 1911 und endete mit „Der Mann, der Liberty Valance erschoss“ (1962). Als Bildhauer schuf Holmes Werke für mindestens drei Postämter in Kalifornien – in Oceanside (1936), Claremont (1937) und Bell (1937). Zwanzig Jahre lang trat Holmes im Varieté und auf der Bühne auf, wobei er häufig Shakespeare-Stücke spielte. Zu seinen Theaterengagements gehörte auch ein Aufenthalt in Deutschland.
