Einsatz im Nordatlantik (1943)
Nachdem sein Öltanker von den Deutschen versenkt wurde, soll Kapitän Jarvis mit den Überlebenden seiner Crew auf der Sea Witch Nachschub für die Sowjets nach Murmansk bringen. Ein deutscher U-Boot-Angriff führt dazu, dass die Sea Witch vom Rest des Konvois getrennt wird. Auf sich allein gestellt, nehmen die Männer den Kampf gegen das U-Boot und deutsche Flugzeuge auf. Als Kapitän Jarvis verletzt wird, übernimmt der Erste Offizier Joe Rossi (Humphrey Bogart) die Führung, bis sowjetische Kampfflugzeuge endlich für die Rettung sorgen.
