Nigel James Dermot Samuel „Sam“ Neill, KNZM, OBE, (* 14. September 1947 in Omagh, Nordirland, Vereinigtes Königreich) ist ein neuseeländischer Schauspieler, Regisseur, Drehbuchautor und Winzer. Er begann früh, als Schauspieler zu arbeiten, und war für die Zealand National Film Unit sechs Jahre lang als Regisseur und Drehbuchautor tätig. Populär wurde er durch Filme wie Jagd auf Roter Oktober (Tom Clancy Buchverfilmung, 1990), Das Piano (1993), Jurassic Park (1993) oder Merlin (1998).
