Ein Stern geht auf (1937)
Esther Blodgett ist ein einfaches Mädchen vom Land, das gerne Karriere beim Film in Hollywood machen würde. Sie kellnert daher nahe der großen Studios, und wird eines Tages tatsächlich als Talent entdeckt. Allerdings leidet darunter ihr Privatleben schwer und es kommt zu tragischen Ereignissen, die Folge ihres neues Lebens sind.
