Noble „Kid“ Chissell (16. Februar 1905 – 8. November 1987) war Boxweltmeister, Schauspieler und Marathon-Tanzmeister. Chissell, ehemaliger Mittelgewichts-Boxmeister der US-Marine (1932), wurde 1982 für seine über 1000 Filmrollen ausgezeichnet. Als Boxer boxte er unter anderem gegen „Packy East“, den späteren Bob Hope. Bereits 1928 gewann er die Weltmeisterschaft im Marathon-Tanz. Internationale Bekanntheit erlangte er als schurkischer Sulkyfahrer „Flea-Flit Dryer“ in dem Film „Home in Indiana“ an der Seite von Walter Brennan, Ward Bond, Lon McAllister, June Haver und Jeanne Crain. Zu seinen zahlreichen weiteren Filmen zählen seine Darstellung eines Mittelgewichtsmeisters in „Ex-Champion“, eines Gefängniswärters an der Seite von Susan Hayward in „Ich will leben!“, eines Spielers in „Guys and Dolls“, des Polizisten Noble in „Die große Verfolgungsjagd“ und eines Hilfssheriffs mit Jane Fonda in „Cat Ballou“. In der ersten und sechsten Folge von Disneys „World of Color“-Serie „Gallegher“ spielte Chissell den irischen Boxringrichter und Gefängniswärter an der Seite von Edmond O’Brien. In der Folge „Tiger am Schwanz“ der Serie „Rauchende Colts“ war er als Croupier beim Roulette zu sehen. Weitere Serien, in denen Chissell mitwirkte, waren „Life of Riley“, „Dragnet“, „Playhouse 90“ und „People’s Court“.
